Barefoot breaks cover
Barefoot Motors, LLC is sponsoring an entry in the TTXGP.
The Barefoot Motors bike was handcrafted with a leading edge perimeter-style frame by Ely Schless, who heads research and development at Barefoot Motors,. The bike, powered by lithium ion batteries, has a proprietary motor/drive integration system, created by Ely and the engineering team at Barefoot Motors. Ely is coy about the top speed, but says confidently it’s ‘fast.’
Ely is a licensed American Motorcycle Association rider, with experience in many sanctioned superbike races. He, along with Mark Gresens of Barefoot Motors, will attend the race and support the professional rider who will actually race the bike.
Mary Jo Gresens, chairman of Barefoot Motors, and Ely’s family will also be attending the race.
Max Scheder Bieschin, CEO of Barefoot Motors said, ‘Building this bike was a fun opportunity to showcase our technology that we use in our electric EUV’s. While we don’t plan to manufacture electric motorcycles, we’re proud to support Ely and sponsor his participation in this event. In the spirit of good competition, we wish our friends at Brammo Motorsports the best in coming in second.’
